Did you know Urgent.ly comes in two flavors? From the beginning we knew there would be customers coming to us looking for help right away, and not of the mind to download / register an app. We also knew there would be folks wanting to plan ahead.
So we’ve arrived at two ways to help consumers: An instant HTML5 app that loads in the phone’s Web browser and gets right down to business, focusing on dispatching one of our drivers ASAP. Many people find this avenue by following a search on Google, or simply typing http://m.urgent.ly in their phone. This is especially useful for folks using Android-based phones.
The other path is an iPhone app for people looking to get the product ready on their phone in advance, keying in name and credit card info so they’re locked and loaded. An additional benefit of the iPhone app is what we call FamilyView, which lets loved ones track each other in real time as they are getting helped (profiled here).
