Urgent.ly Attends Automobility LA

The LA Auto Show Experience

Automobility LA is the new conglomeration of the Los Angeles Auto Show Press & Trade Show and Connected Car Expo, and bills itself as “the new auto industry’s first true trade show.” The show focuses on “the new mobility movement” and features 4 days jam-packed with networking and professional  collaboration, keynotes, panels, discussions, business announcements and product unveilings, and the chance to see who’s who and what’s what in the automotive industry. Industry professionals - from automotive makers to tech developers to investors and more - came from all over to “learn, connect, and make deals” in Los Angeles this November. Of course, the Urgent.ly team was eager to attend.

We’re excited about what we’re doing here at Urgent.ly, driving innovation and pushing the industry as a whole to improve roadside assistance services. For years, customers were stuck with legacy roadside clubs, dreading the day they needed a jump start or got a flat tire. Everyone knew that roadside assistance was a general pain, destined to take hours as you waited at the side of the street - or highway! - for a tow truck you weren’t even totally sure was coming.

That’s not the case anymore. We’ve empowered the consumer with modern technology. Now, the Urgent.ly customer knows there’s a better way, and that roadside troubles need only to be a minor setback. As word spreads, everyone - from those traditional roadside clubs to insurance companies and automotive manufacturers - is looking to improve the roadside assistance experience. AutomobilityLA was just the ticket to sharing our revolutionary model with everyone looking for the future of roadside assistance.

Urgent.ly team members spent 4 days hanging out at the Urgent.ly booth to spread the word, and meeting with other influencers in the industry. Jaivin Karnani, Urgent.ly’s Director of Marketing, says “Automobility LA was a great show for us to establish relationships with tier-1 partners looking to accelerate their roadside assistance programs.” He reflected on the experience and the potential this opportunity unlocks for Urgent.ly by adding, “We had lots of excitement around our on-demand roadside assistance solutions and it was great to showcase our platform solutions for many different OEM partners.”

Back in the office, the team has been bustling with excitement from their time in Los Angeles. The team is eager to pursue new opportunities, to connect with new partners, and to continue to share our platform in order to drive the industry to better roadside assistance.
