Demonstrating ongoing leadership in innovation we are extremely excited to announce a partnership that will provide users of the Urgent.ly roadside assistance applications with accident detection, and the ability to instantly request roadside assistance if needed.
By integrating groundbreaking technology from Zendrive (known as “the driver-centric analytics company”) Urgent.ly users will be able to have greater peace of mind while on the road, knowing that in the event of an accident, sensors in their phone along with the Urgent.ly app will be able to pinpoint the location of the incident and quickly get help.
“This is another step in our leading the innovation in roadside assistance industry,” our CTO and cofounder Surendra Goel says. “We are creating smart roadside assistance applications that are much more helpful and responsive than a card in your glovebox with an 800 number on it.”
Nope, this is not your “father’s AAA” :-)
The combination of the visibility of seeing and tracking trucks on a map, plus the unmatched peace of mind that come with our FamilyView feature, and now Zendrive’s accident detection technology, Urgent.ly has the most advanced roadside assistance service in the market and is leading the industry in innovation.
And the best news is that it is all free to consumers until they actually need the service. Customers download Urgent.ly for free and “put a tow truck in their pocket” for fast access to help when they have a roadside emergency.
“So, instead of burning $100+ a year on a AAA membership for a service they may not need,” Urgent.ly CEO Chris Spanos notes, “they should ‘burn their AAA card’ and pocket the savings instead.”
Stay tuned for ongoing updates as we prepare to launch this feature soon. And watch for more developments as we become even more a part of the in-car safe-driving experience.
